Shot this at Nakamura House. It was about 3 blocks from where we lived. They had a vending machine so you can buy feed for the Koi.
FYI about N.M HouseThe history of the Nakamura family dates back to the early part of the 15th century when Gashi, an ancestor of the family moved his residence to Nakagusuku from Zakimi in Yomitan. The reason for the move was because Lord Gosamaru of Zakimi had received an order from the king in Shuri to relocate his castle to Nakagusuku. Gashi served as Gosamaru's teacher until the latter's downfall at the hands of Lord Amawari of Katsuren Castle just across from Nakagusuku Bay.
With the Nakagusuku Castle in ruins, Gashi and his family also suffered from their lord's adversity. It was not until 1720 that fortune came back to the Nakamura family when one of the ancestors was called upon to serve as a Jitoshoku (village headman) by the royal government in Shuri. It was around this time when the first foundations of the Nakamura house was set in.

Hola and Welcome! I started painting and drawing when I started my art education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. I taught at Valley High School (Gilcrest, Colorado) in the 70s. After that, I moved to Madrid, Spain where I taught drafting and architectural drawing part-time for Central Texas College and full time for the Department of Defense, Industrial Arts, 1st thru 8th grade. In the early 80's I transferred to Okinawa, Japan. In Okinawa, I taught grades 1-12 in a variety of areas: Photography, Industrial Arts, Painting, Pottery, Sculpture, Wood Working, Commercial Arts, Graphic Design, Industrial Technology and a number of other areas. The best part about these jobs is I was paid to do what I love! Now...
